The Grounds of Alexandria

The Grounds of Alexandria

Sydneysiders!!! This place is just so on fleek!

I'm in awe

From just a short bus ride or taxi trip from Central station in Sydney’s CBD, you will find this gem sitting amongst a concrete jungle! The Grounds of Alexandria has an awesome rustic charm meets farm-life vibe, something that you wouldn’t expect to see in the middle of the city! It has a restaurant, flowershop, cafè, bakery and bar!
More farm animals!

cutest pig out!

I was able to enjoy a refreshing fruit crush and artesian burger, all amongst the picturesque garden! Sit back, relax and just enjoy the finer things in life. Walk around and you’ll see some farm animals such as pigs and goats, as well as a parrot just hanging out in one of the restaurants!

Parrot just chilling out!

I can just feel the Indieness flowing right into my veins on this one.

Peaceout,

Emmanuel

IVY

Get in with the IVY league!

Hey Sydneysiders!

Want to get loose and let your hair down?

Get your squad down here and visit one of Sydney’s premier destinations for a night out, The Ivy! Owned by Merivale and launched in 2007, the Ivy has built up a formidable reputation for being the go to place during the week and on the weekends in the city.

Pano view of the courtyard!

There are heaps of areas to choose from such as the courtyard, pool club (Sydney’s only rooftop pool), ballrooms, bars and also restaurants. I went on a Thursday night when entry is free (yasssss!!!) and although it was free, it did not disappoint (its not free on the weekends)! I got to enjoy some of the beers on tap and some refreshing gin and tonic, the music was also a highlight. The beats that were playing by DJs on upper and lower levels were absolute bangers, and I was able to enjoy the moment with mates and a few randoms, but hey, the place is awesome so the more the merrier!

                                                                 Sick view of the club

Peace out,
Emmanuel

North Sydney Olympic Pool

North Sydney Olympic Pool – Swim Amongst the Giants

Hey Sydney Siders! What an awesome Friday afternoon!

Nestled right under the harbour bridge lies an aquatic centre that is sure to make you feel small again. Located in North Sydney just a few minutes walk from Milsons Point train station and bordering the famous Luna Park, North Sydney Pool has sweeping views of the harbour with the Sydney CBD in the background.

IMG_4074.jpg
The centre boasts an outdoor 50m Olympic sized swimming pool and an indoor 25m pool for those who want to be sheltered from the elements. The views of the bridge and the harbour are both visible in each pool, perfect motivation to swim laps or relax and enjoy the scenery. For an additional cost you can access spa/sauna facilities, showers and the gym.

I was able to enjoy the 50m pool, the main attraction. The facility was clean and well appointed with lap signs for lap speed. The water used in the pool seemed to be collected from the harbour itself and thus a strong taste of salt is apparent, in addition to chlorine, making it a slightly different experience to your usual aquatic centre in Sydney, nevertheless it was still an enjoyable experience.

Stay tuned Sydney Siders! :)

BONDI

HELLO SYDNEY SIDERS!

If you are coming to Sydney you can't miss a visit to Bondi Beach! Only about 30 minutes by public transport from the city centre.

Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most famous beaches and is well-known worldwide.

Each year tens of thousands of people, from backpackers to billionaires, take to the golden sands of this wide, one-kilometre long beach to walk, jog, or just soak up the sun. Being only 10 kilometres from the city centre, Bondi Beach is one of Sydney's busiest beaches.

To discover more stunning beaches close by, you can take the trail to Tamarama, Bronte and Coogee via the scenic coastal walk from Bondi Beach. From the cliffs on the Bondi to Coogee Walk you can see the entire expanse of Bondi Beach.

Busy Buzzing BONDI

Each spring, the Bondi to Tamarama Beach section of the walk is transformed by the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition with works by local artists.
