CAN YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING? SINGING THE SONG OF ANGRY MEN?
I DREAMED A DREAM OF TIME GONE BYYYYYYY
ON MY OWN PRETENDING HE'S BESIDE MEEEE
Well Sydney Siders, that was my 3 line rendition of a Les Miserables medley. I really hope you enjoyed it, i'm headlining next week at the Opera House! Don't miss it!
There's just something about musical theatre that get's to me every single time. For 2.5 hours, as the audience you're taken on this journey, you become so attached to these characters while you're told their story through song and dance. You laugh, you cry, you feel everything that these characters do, and that alone is something so special.
For as long as I can remember my sister and I have had this tradition of going to watch a musical every year, whether it be at the Star's Lyric Theatre or the grand Capitol Theatre - 13 Campbell Street, Haymarket NSW - which has been apart of Sydney's history since 1892.
Les Mis showing at the Capitol Theatre now! |
This September I was able to watch Les Miserables the Musical and it was spectacular. The cast overflowed with talent and passion, the storyline had so much depth and the songs were show-tune classics - I couldn't help shed at tear when Eponine belted out 'On my Own'. Unrequited love really is a shot to the heart.
Les Mis is definitely a must see show & it has it's final release tickets out now! Purchase online at Ticketmaster -> Les Mis Tickets
If you do miss this show, Capitol Theatre has new musicals all year around. Expect CATS and the classic The Sound of Music for viewing real soon!

There's something about it that is just so magical and even if it's not your thing, I highly recommend you to go watch a musical even once in your life. Who know's you might just fall in love with it as much as I have.
Until the next post,
